Sorry for the delay in updating the diary pages, but it's been all systems go at Team 309 headquarters, with Meryworth Services fitting the new Elite IL300 EVO-2 6-Speed sequential gearbox amongst a number of maintenance jobs that come with a high spec race car like this one! But it is just that attention to detail that makes a car reliable, lots of work, lots of money, but at the end of the delay it all pays off...

And pay off it has, with a minor hick-up of Ricky spinning off on oil whilst dicing with Pete Stevens in the Carlton at Silverstone in early May that put brother Danny onto the 13th grid position for the Sunday race...
Tactics were exchanged, and with TSL Timing data recorded we were aiming at hitting the front mid race. However, Danny and a mix of adrenaline with a twist of luck when the 935 Porsche went lame early, sprung Danny to the front by lap three, with a struggling Pete Stevens driving his pants off to catch him...
However, the Carltons handicap of waiting for tyre temperatures to climb, meant that Danny had done enough with 8 minutes to go and just kept the Vauxhall at bay... !!
